Special Education Teacher (K–2 Co-Teaching) – 2026–2027 School Year

Location: Near Rockford, Illinois

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to provide K–2 co-teaching services for the 2026–2027 school year near Rockford, Illinois. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners while collaborating with a supportive educational team.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services in a co-teaching classroom setting for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to supporting diverse learning needs.
