Birch Agency is seeking Spanish Teachers to join our team!

The Elementary School Spanish Teacher introduces students to the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. The teacher creates engaging, age-appropriate lessons that build foundational skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while fostering confidence and enthusiasm for language learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with school and state standards.
• Teach basic vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversational Spanish.
• Incorporate cultural elements from Spanish-speaking countries into lessons.
• Use interactive and student-centered teaching methods (games, songs, group activities, and multimedia).
• Assess student progress through quizzes, oral exercises, projects, and assignments.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
• Communicate student progress with parents/guardians and school staff.
• Collaborate with other teachers and participate in school activities and meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish
• Valid NY teaching certification/licensure for middle school education.
