What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician position at BioZyme Inc?
Purpose:
The Facilities Technician ensures the buildings and grounds are maintained and supports the upkeep and optimization of the related costs of all facilities maintenance equipment and supplies as well as some capital projects.
Role Accountabilities:
- Assists with office changes and/or furniture assembly, as needed
- Oversees repairs and maintenance on all company vehicles
- Schedules and supports minor repairs of the external facilities as needed
- Secures and ensures lawn and landscaping maintenance as needed
- Secures and ensures timely snow removal as needed
- Serves as a primary contact for facility-related emergencies, which may require evening and weekend work
- Utilizes a checklist-based system and daily inspects company properties for areas of concern and submits a weekly checklist to supervisor and Director of Maintenance & Facilities Works with supervisor to manage annual facilities budgets
- Works with supervisor to report problems, solutions, and costs
- Takes ownership of financial actions and decisions ensuring awareness of how affect the company’s finances
- This could involve understanding the costs associated with tasks, the time of work, or the impact of waste and inefficiencies
- Effectively utilizes Asana to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and collaboration with team members
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and unquestionable ethics

- Attention to detail and accuracy while multitasking as necessary
- High school diploma or equivilant
- Experience in facility management
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of financial and statistical analysis
