Assistant Production Planner

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Production Planner to support our manufacturing operations. This role involves coordinating production schedules, managing supply chain activities, and ensuring efficient workflow within our plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, supply chain analytics, and ERP systems, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Master Planning & Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed master production and material plans to drive Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ensure production capacity aligns with Sales and Operations Planning (SOP).

· MRP Management: Run and control MRP processes to ensure production flexibility, optimize inventory levels, and meet production goals.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to communicate MRP results and manage production capacity, incorporating CM flexibility constraints.

· Data Analysis & Problem-Solving: Collect and analyze data to generate MRP outputs and address potential planning issues with effective solutions.

· Process Improvement: Participate in cross-functional initiatives to drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes and systems.

· Technology Integration: Evaluate, implement, and integrate new technologies or processes to enhance operational efficiency.

· Inventory Management: Oversee raw material inventory levels to ensure optimal stock for production without overstocking.

· Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

· Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.

· Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems for production and inventory planning.

· Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to assess and address the needs of multiple internal departments.

· Customer Interaction: Experience collaborating and interfacing with customers, including discussing requirements and problem-solving.

· Industry Experience: Prior experience in the nutraceutical sector, particularly with solid dose formulations and equipment, is preferred.

· Work Environment Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with strong attention to detail; must be flexible and responsive to changing priorities and demands.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
