This position is for 1st shift 5a-1:30pm This position is responsible for all Quality Assurance (QA) inspections of the manufacturing operations within the facility and for ensuring compliance with the current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) regulatory requirements as well as company procedures and policies.
- Ensures compliance with cGMP regulations and guidelines related to quality and food safety
- Verify that the inspection equipment, machinery, and tools used are calibrated according to company policy
- Observe cGMP's good documentation practices
- Performs physical and visual inspection of products, manufacturing equipment and documentation including calculations
- Actively participating in failure and discrepancy investigations and documenting investigations, process deviations or equipment malfunctions
- Coordinate and support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions and ensuring the closing of CAPAs in a timely manner
- Performs in-process QA checks and approval reviews
- Promptly communicates with Operations regarding product or process variances
- Works closely with department leadership to assure quality standards are consistently achieved
- Ensures the current environmental monitoring program complies with established standards
- Assist with cGMP refresher training
- Effectively working, interacting and communicating with co-workers and lead/supervisor.
- Demonstrating professional behavior while working in a team approach to managing challenging situations
- Assisting in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for all staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Minimum of an Associate degree in life science field or equivalent experience
2 years of experience in quality assurance/cGMP/FDA regulated industry (preferred)
Must be able to complete BRC QA Inspector training
- Strong computer skills including MS Office application: Word, Excel, ERP system experience
- Must demonstrate flexibility when re-prioritization is necessary
- Must be able to wear the necessary, job-related personal protective equipment
