Part-Time Phlebotomy position
Hours: Mon- Fri 8am-1pm
Location: Madison Heights
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts specimen collection, sometimes directly observed.
- Gathers, verifies and enters patient data.
- Orders and maintains supplies.
- Great communicator with patients and employees
- Maintains cleanliness of the collection area.
- Assists the client services team in correcting discrepancies.
- Follows company policies, guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Meets continuous process improvement and/or standardization initiatives.
Education, Experience and Training
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Phlebotomy Certification/ Diploma required.
- Must have minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a doctors office or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of related organizational policies to administer patient care.
- Must be very organized and confident in venipuncture.
- Working knowledge of computers, especially word, excel and medical software.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and Office of Inspector General check.
