💼 We're Hiring: Payroll Specialist
📍 Location: Tustin, CA (Onsite)
Are you a payroll professional who thrives on accuracy, organization, and making sure employees are paid correctly and on time? We're partnering with a well-established organization in the life sciences industry that is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team in Tustin, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the payroll process, collaborating across departments, and working in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Process payroll accurately and on time for approximately 400 employees
- Manage payroll from start to finish, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain payroll records and employee data with a high level of accuracy
- Process employee changes, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Partner with Human Resources and Finance to ensure accurate employee and payroll information
- Respond to payroll-related questions from employees in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and year-end activities
What We're Looking For
✔ 3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience
✔ Experience processing payroll for a mid-sized organization (approximately 300–600 employees)
✔ Experience managing payroll from start to finish
✔ Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, benefits, and payroll compliance
✔ Experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, UKG, Dayforce, Paycom, or similar
✔ Strong Microsoft Excel skills
✔ Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-state payroll
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
