Job Role: Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer (3-5 Years)

Location: Dallas, TX(Onsite)

The Role

• As a Data Engineer (II), you will work on large-scale batch pipelines and analytics systems to enable mission-critical decision-making and AI-powered capabilities.

Your Day:

• Infrastructure Management: Develop, improve, and maintain large-scale data systems for processing and serving.
• Optimization: Optimize complex code using advanced algorithmic concepts and a deep understanding of data system stacks.
• Framework Contribution: Create frameworks to improve the management and deployment of data platforms.
• Problem Solving: Develop complex queries and large-volume pipelines to solve engineering problems.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver data solutions.
• Innovation: Prototype new metrics or data systems and define SLAs for data sets.

Requirements:

• Education: BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience with a specialization in Data Engineering.
• Experience: 3 5 years in Data Engineering, including ETL, data lakehouse, and data modeling.
• Technical Skills: Fluency in Python, Java, and SQL.
• Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of algorithms, distributed computing, data structures, and databases.
• Soft Skills: Self-driven, detail-oriented, and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS/PhD in a relevant technical field.
• 2 years of experience in Hadoop/Apache technologies (Spark, Hive, Kafka, etc.).
• 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataproc, Looker, etc.).
