The Role: The Hospital Liaison acts as the strategic bridge between the DME provider and hospital clinical teams, facilitating seamless patient transitions to the home by coordinating equipment referrals, verifying medical documentation, and ensuring timely post-discharge deliveries.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in DME or hospital setting preferred.
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology and medical insurance processes is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of empathy and patience
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work alongside physicians, nurses, and case managers to coordinate Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders and ensure timely delivery
- Assess patient needs and recommend the right DME solutions to support patient care
- Confirm eligibility and obtain required authorizations before dispensing equipment
- Ensure DME orders are entered and handled accurately from start to finish
- Arrange delivery and setup at the hospital or patient’s home
- Provide easy-to-understand guidance on how to use and maintain their equipment
- Address any concerns related to equipment, delivery, or insurance with empathy and efficient
