Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team. Mechanical skills are an absolute must. Flexibility to work on multiple tasks is a plus. Candidate needs to be flexible with scheduling; hours are standard however jobs sometimes are not. Candidate must have a good work ethic and ability to work well with customers, vendors and employees.
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose and repair heavy duty truck issues (Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Ford)
- Diagnose, tear down and rebuild units as necessary and ensure functions work properly
- Knowledge of truck electrical, computer and ABS systems
- Accurately submit parts orders needed to complete repair and installation
- Perform federal D.O.T. testing and certifications and provide documented reports of test results
- Maintain personal certifications and paperwork necessary to remain certified
- Self-motivated individual with a good work ethic and pride in their workmanship
- Reliable transportation
Requirements
- Must have experience as a Heavy-Medium Duty Truck and Equipment repair technician with the capability of performing repairs on vehicle and equipment components.
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge of diagnosis, replacement and repair in all aspects of truck repair.
- Welding experience needed for tractor and trailer repairs
- Experience in tank and trailer repair preferred
- Experience or ability to learn steps to perform federal and state D.O.T. testing and certification.
- Ability to work in a variety of scenarios and remain flexible.
- Must have valid drivers license, Class B or A preferred.
