As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment used in metal packaging production.
Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify mechanical equipment and production machinery
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose mechanical failures and minimize equipment downtime
- Inspect, repair, and replace bearings, chains, gears, belts, conveyors, pumps, and other mechanical components
- Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges with tolerances up to .0010
- Perform equipment inspections and document maintenance activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability
We're looking for candidates with:
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical education
- 2 years of Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, or Industrial Maintenance experience desired
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Ability to read measuring instruments and work with close tolerances
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and quality
Manufacturing, food production, packaging, automotive, steel, paper, plastics, chemical processing, or similar industrial maintenance experience is highly preferred.
