About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Patent Docket Specialist to support our Intellectual Property team. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate docketing records, ensuring deadlines are met, and supporting attorneys and staff with patent and trademark prosecution matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Docket incoming USPTO and foreign filings accurately, maintaining historical notes and ensuring risk management.
- Manage correspondence, investigate discrepancies in due dates, and resolve issues proactively.
- Act as a resource for attorneys and staff, providing guidance on docketing standards and procedures.
- Review outgoing filings, forecast next actions, and maintain accurate docket records.
- Generate and customize docket reports for internal teams and clients.
- Participate in periodic docket audits and special projects, proposing process improvements to reduce risk.
- Maintain the highest level of accuracy under critical deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
About You
- Minimum 5 years of patent docketing experience preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to exchange information clearly and concisely.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and team-focused approach.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
