Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
Location: Utica, NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (06/01/2026 – 08/29/2026)
Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Start Date: June 1, 2026
- Gross Weekly Pay: $2,722
- Weekly Stipend: $1,246
- W2 Hourly Rate: $41/hr
- Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
- Beds: 64 total (15 designated Neuro beds)
- Patient Population: Adults (18 )
- Common Diagnoses:
- Neurological conditions
- Cardiac conditions (MI, CV stepdown)
- Respiratory (COPD)
- DKA, Sepsis, Trauma, Post-operative cases
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to IMCU/PCU-level patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs
- Manage patients with complex conditions including neuro, cardiac, and respiratory cases
- Operate and manage specialized equipment such as:
- Temporary pacemakers
- Chest tubes
- Arterial lines (A-lines)
- BiPAP and ventilators (RT support available)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units as required
- Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience
- Travel experience required
- Active New York RN License (must be verified via NURSYS)
- Current certifications:
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS
- Experience with EPIC EMR
