Duties
- Assist in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team by providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure excellent customer service.
- Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and onboarding processes to build a strong team.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to optimize product availability and presentation.
- Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, returns, and refunds while ensuring accuracy in cashiering and bookkeeping activities.
- Support management of payroll processing, scheduling shifts, budgeting, and operational planning to meet sales targets.
- Maintain effective communication with staff through managerial communication skills to foster teamwork and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within the retail industry with a focus on sales team management.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, inventory management, POS systems, and operational procedures.
- Excellent negotiation skills along with the ability to handle customer service issues professionally.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, supervising staff performance, and developing training programs.
- Familiarity with grocery store or wireless sales environments is advantageous but not required.
- Exceptional organizational skills combined with time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently.
