Background
Bimbo QSR is a global bakery leader serving quick service restaurants and foodservice sectors worldwide. We are hiring a Sr. Global Communications Manager for a 14-month contract to cover a maternity leave. The Sr. Global Communications Manager leads external and internal communications, change management, corporate affairs and crisis communications. The ideal candidate will be a proactive collaborator, strong project manager, and passionate about connecting teams and supporting business growth. This evolving role reports to the VP, People and requires an open-minded individual keen to work with diverse stakeholders.
Objectives:
- Drive engagementand change managementacross the organizationandequip senior leaders with commercial and marketing tools
- Support the development of end-to-end global communications, creative and content plan aligned to business priorities
- Contribute to multi-year BQ vision and strategy.
- Refine andcommunicatemulti-yearcustomerandassociatestrategies andrelationship management at day-to-day and executive levels.
- Collaborate with internalGrupoBimboand BQpartnersand share best practices.
- Proactivelycommunication to associateslocatedin 23 countries that speakmore than 10different languages.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, manage, and implement Bimbo QSR’s global communications and brand strategyto maximize associate and external engagementandchampionBQ’sculture.
- Develop and execute end-to-end global communicationsand change managementstrategies aligned to BQ’s business priorities,visionand strategy.
- Lead the communications process bringing strategic, professional communications counsel, planning and direction toBimbo QSR stakeholders.
- Collaboratewith multiple business units, global, regional, and local market teams,and across all functions, including global customers team, R&D,and People team.
- Support content development forleadershipcommunications and engagements, including speaking notes, videodevelopmentand presentations.
- ManageBQ’s globalreputation by working work with theLeadership team and Grupo Bimbo communicationsand corporate affairs teamsto provide issues and crisis communications support, includingdrafting reactive and proactive messaging for media, government,suppliers,and customers.
- Provideinternal and externalcommunications supportand subject matterexpertisefor keyGrupo Bimbo initiatives, including theNourishing a Better WorldstrategyandDiversity, Equity and Belonginggoals.
- Lead all Bimbo QSR Diversity, Equity and Belonging communications,initiatives,and eventsto ensure DEB goals are met in line withBQ’s DEBstrategy.
Support all communication content development, including graphic design and video editing. - Assess communications requests todeterminerelevancy, appropriateness, pacing and sequencing, and alignment to business priorities.
- Gather content from multiple sources and develop communications for variouschannelsincluding leadership messages,GB-ON, BQ Buzz, BQ Bulletin,customer newsletters,BQ Broadcast,videos,and presentations.
- Identifyand liaise with stakeholders about opportunities forcommunicationsto otheraudiencegroups(e.g.,customers, media, etc.) to increase communication effectiveness and alignment.
- Lead communications for corporate announcements andconfidential projects.
- Create strategic customer communications campaigns to highlightand positionBQas the supplier of choice.
- Formulateexternalcommunications strategy bydeveloping andmanagingeditorial calendars for BQ externalchannels including the corporate website, Instagram, LinkedIn,andadditionalsocial media, asrequired.
- Champion robust proactive PR strategies from concept to execution includingstrategicplanning, creative guidance, project management, developing communications materials/assets, tactical channel execution, reporting, and managing media relationships.
- Plan, develop, and executevirtual and in-person internal and customer events, including large-scale conferences, company broadcasts, engagement events and Diversity, Equity and Belonging initiatives.
- Develop strategies and tools to measure,analyzeand report on the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
- Gatherfeedback and continuallyevaluatethe effectiveness of communication content and thechannels/platforms/tools/technology,e.g.GB-ON,meetings, SharePoint sites, socialmedia, etc.).
- Manage annual communications budget with multiple external agenciesoperatingacross global markets.
- Identifyglobal opportunitiesto enhance brand reputation.
- Exhibit innovative thinking by alertingstakeholders tonewtrends, tools,digital capabilities,and methods of communicationto reach new customers,leveragenew channels and integrate new tools to improve performance of existing channels and to expand capabilities.
- Coach and mentorCommunicationsAdvisor, Supervisor,agencypartnersand suppliers.
- Support ongoing projects, as required.
