Position Summary:   

The Bimbo QSR (“BQ”) Director Demand Planning will be a key leader in establishing our Supply Chain S&OP Process Excellence Team, having end to end accountability for S&OP, S&OE/Control Tower, and Supply Chain design across Business Units.  He/she will create the Control Tower to manage, and champion the BU Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP) to ensure alignment of Sales/Marketing, Manufacturing/ Supply Operations, Revenue Growth Management, Finance and Senior Leadership. He/she will provide strategic direction to Business Unit leaders on the S&OP process to assist their teams in balancing supply and demand, aligning volume and mix with capacity and capability, forecast reconciliation to integrate financial and operating plans with strategic objectives to deliver improved operating and financial results.  He/she will architect and lead the IBP vision and process design/ blueprint, creating a fit for purpose digital environment that delivers the right metrics, process, systems, and organizational capability across all business units, and drives the maturity of the S&OP processes to the highest possible standard. He/she will function as the process owner, the architect behind working cross-functionally, and benchmarking among industry peers and thought leaders to tailor the most appropriate S&OP process that can be embraced by the organization as the “BQ way” to achieve strategic objectives.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and long-term strategic vision of BQ’s S&OP/IBP processes to drive transformation in new and existing Demand Planning to enhance efficiency and flexibility of forecasting across business units (DSD, Warehouse, Club, E-Commerce, Food Service)
    • Establish high performing, consensus driven Control Tower process deployment that enables the balancing of demand and supply with key US leadership to ensure the demand plan is aligned to each market’s business ambition and financial targets, while ensuring key supply chain metrics are met (service, inventory, on time and in full (OTIF) and forecast accuracy)
    • Foster ongoing cross functional collaboration to mitigate and solve escalated issues from Control Tower to debottleneck Supply Chain operations.
    • Oversee the integrated reconciliation in S&OP cycle, continuously assessing, scoring, and reporting supply chain performance at the executive level.
    • Oversee coordination and execution of supply risk and bottleneck management, fostering alignment between suppliers, sites, and customers.
    • Ensure best practice application in creating Supply Chain strategic guidelines and architecture of the IBP vision and process design/ blueprint across all business units.  Continuously drive the maturity of the S&OP processes to the highest possible standard for short-, mid- and long-term Supply Chain design.
    • Drive the creation, regular update, and application of BQ-wide standardized Supply Chain processes, enabled by systems and tools.
    • Oversee the definition of overall Master Data and IBP strategy in close sync with business, ensuring integrity and compliance with regulatory, quality and customer needs.   
    • Influences, promotes, and builds capabilities of critical leaders and team members to embed and ensure adoption of new processes, tools and cycle of S&OP to become the “BQ Way”; fostering a continuous improvement mindset across all areas and relevant stakeholders.
    • Foster optimization of product portfolio and operational performance with relevant stakeholders across lifecycle stages
    • Oversee development of long-term plan and correct propagation for all SC nodes
    • Oversee SC model configuration according to guidelines, triggering of cross-site allocation and capacity balancing.

Education and Work History:

  • B.S in Management or business-related field, MBA preferred.
  • 15 years of combined supply chain and manufacturing operations experience; ideally 5 years’ experience in end-to-end business planning (S&OP) leading sales operations planning or integrated business planning process (IBP) 
  • Ideally 5 years’ experience in end-to-end business planning (S&OP) with Subject Matter Expertise in Supply Chain Management across both Supply Chain strategy and planning. 
  • Strong understanding of the bakery and/or CPG industry, processes and products
  • Strong interpersonal skills including extensive experience in managing large teams with geographically and culturally diverse setup.
  • Strong team player to leverage existing resources & drive excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to ‘get things done’.  Ability to roll up sleeves and drive change.
  • Must have a proven track record of effectively leading teams and performance management.
  • Demonstrated success in providing change management leadership during growth and business transformation. 
  • Proven ability to develop high-performing teams through mentoring, collaboration, and accountability to rigorous standards while sustaining high engagement and positive energy.
