Position Overview
The Inventory Replenishment Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily execution of inventory replenishment activities across store freezers and bakery locations to ensure product availability, service reliability, and alignment with customer delivery commitments.
This role is a key part of the Customer Inventory Planning organization, serving as the execution leader for inventory management and as a functional counterpart to the Customer Service Supervisor. The Inventory Replenishment Supervisor translates customer planning priorities into consistent replenishment actions and ensures inventory execution supports overall service and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Replenishment Execution
- Oversee and prioritize daily inventory replenishment activities to maintain appropriate inventory levels at stores and depots
- Monitor inventory positions and proactively address risks related to stockouts, overages, shelf life, or capacity constraints
- Execute short‑term inventory adjustments based on customer demand, delivery schedules, and production constraints
- Ensure replenishment execution aligns with customer service priorities and delivery commitments
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, coach, and develop Inventory Replenishment Specialists
- Assign daily work and manage execution priorities to ensure timely completion of replenishment tasks
- Establish and maintain standard replenishment processes, training, and documentation
- Support performance management, skill development, and workload balancing within the team
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Partner closely with Transportation, Shipping, Production, and Store teams to align replenishment execution with operational realities
- Coordinate with the Customer Service Supervisor to resolve inventory‑related customer issues and delivery concerns
- Communicate execution risks, constraints, and recommendations to the Customer Inventory Planning Manager
- Support issue resolution involving carriers, dispatch, and drivers when inventory impacts service
Inventory Accuracy & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies between system records and physical inventory
- Identify recurring execution issues and recommend process improvements
- Support initiatives that improve inventory visibility, replenishment reliability, and execution efficiency
- Ensure adherence to replenishment standards and operational controls
Support of Customer Planning (S&OE)
- Serve as the primary execution lead for inventory‑related actions within the Customer Planning organization
- Provide real‑time execution feedback to inform customer planning decisions
- Support escalation management by supplying execution feasibility, facts, and options
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in inventory management, replenishment, logistics, or distribution operations
- Prior experience leading or supervising operational teams
- Strong understanding of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and order‑to‑delivery processes
- Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, execution‑focused environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills across cross‑functional teams
Preferred
- Experience supporting QSR, food manufacturing, or high‑volume distribution environments
- Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems
- Exposure to Customer Planning, S&OE, or cross‑functional execution models
