Manager is responsible for providing leadership to Neurology and EEG departments. Develops objectives, policies, and procedures for department cost centers to formalize and implement the mission, vision, and values of Billings Clinic. Maintains the standards, customer relations, and practice in the Neurology and EEG departments. Accountabilities include: quality of services; short and long range planning to achieve goals and objectives; fiscal control; physician and interdepartmental/intradepartmental relations; personnel management. Assists in the development and responsible for the execution of initiatives in line with Billings Clinic strategic plan for the growth of the Neurosciences service line. Partner with the Department Chairs of the service line in DYAD leadership model.
Essential Job Functions
• In collaboration with physician
leadership and other medical staff, administration, and other health care
providers, develops and implements short and long range plans, and leads,
develops and revises programs which enhance department services.
• Leads department in the overall marketing, program development, and service
priorities. Coordinates with physicians and other Billings Clinic leadership to
assure continuity in pursing service line/organizational goals and synergy in
implementing plans and problem resolution.
• Develops, implements, and maintains a realistic, cost-effective annual
budget. Reviews monthly financials and provides input and action plan to meet
budget expectations.
• Practices process improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of
the service/care provided within the department. Maintains competency in all
organizational, departmental, and outside agency safety standards relevant to
job performance for department and ensures compliance of department and staff.
• Develops, retains, recruits, and leads a talented team committed to
accomplishing the goals and objectives of Billings Clinic. Recommends,
implements, and evaluates plans and systems that assure sufficient number of
qualified and competent staff to provide care/services. Adheres to
administrative policies and procedures relating to human resource management.
• Demonstrates and encourages an ethic of open communication and teamwork
throughout the organization. Builds an environment of shared commitment to
Billings Clinic’s goals and responsibility to achieve quality outcomes.
Provides consultation for related concerns and acts as a customer advocate by
demonstrating sensitivity to ethical and legal ramifications of practice.
• Participates in evaluation, selection and integration of health care
technology and information management systems that support quality of
care/financial needs and the efficient use of resources.
• Develops, implements and maintains physician outreach to Billings Clinic
affiliates and other locations in the service area with respects to Neurology
and EEG. Partners with sites to ensure highest level of patient and physician
satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
• Leads clinical and non-clinical
staff in the day to day operations of the outpatient clinics. Responsible for
staff work schedules and maintaining highest level of
patient centered care.
• Responsible for continuation of Electroencephalogram (EEG) long term
monitoring program
• Mitigates patient complaints and works with patient, physicians and other
departments to reach resolution
Minimum Qualifications
Education
• Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or health care field, required
• MBA, MHA or MSN, preferred
Experience
• 2 years experience in Leadership of diverse teams, Operations Management and Process Improvement
• Demonstrated management/leadership and program management skills related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills, and abilities
Certifications and Licenses
• Current Montana/Wyoming drivers license and the ability to be insured to operate Billings Clinic vehicles
