DESCRIPTION:
Seeking a high quality, highly motivated busser, and food runner in our high-volume restaurants. A Busser, or Food Runner, oversees delivery of food to tables, setting and clearing tables to provide a clean and tidy environment for restaurant guests. Candidate must be reliable, friendly, with a pleasant and professional attitude. Pay rate will be determined by previous experience, skill level, and attitude.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
· Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
· Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g., food allergies)
· Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g., proper temperature)
· Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
· Remove dirty dishes and utensils
· Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g., when they ask for the check)
· Wiping up water spills, food stains and dirt from tables
· Straightening out the tablecloth or replacing stained ones
· Replacing cutlery and glassware in anticipation of new diners
· Bringing out meal orders if waitstaff are busy
· Handling cleaning of the dining area at the close of day
· Have great customer service and positive attitude to team and guests
· Must present a professional attitude and appearance
· Acknowledge guest opportunities and offer options
· Maintain an open line of communication with Managers
· Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner
· Regular attendance and on-time to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job
· Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Excellent customer service and people skills
· In-depth knowledge of food sanitation and safety policies
· Strong attention to detail
· High energy levels
· Excellent verbal communication
· Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
· The ability to work within a team environment
· The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 50 pounds at a time
· Food Handlers Permit
