What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Advisor / Writer position at Bill Thomas Camper Sales?
We are a family owned and operated RV dealership. We've been going strong for 60 years now and have many more years to go. We have a terrific, strong team; and we are in need for another Service Writer/Advisor.
A Service Advisor acts as the primary liaison between customers and service technicians, managing vehicle service needs, providing estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Service Advisors are responsible for greeting customers, assessing RV issues, and communicating repair needs to technicians. They provide detailed service recommendations, prepare cost estimates, and schedule appointments to optimize workflow and minimize customer wait times. They also maintain proactive communication with customers regarding repair status, delays, or additional findings, ensuring transparency and trust. Our customers are fantastic to work with, and we value building strong relationships with them.
The environment is fun and very fast-paced so having positive energy is important. There are times when you have multiple phone calls and multiple people at the counter so being organized is paramount. Customer service and communication are critical. Knowledge of IDS (Integrated Dealer Systems) is HIGHLY recommended. Attendance is VERY important, Monday through Friday.
