The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and company policies. This position requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality work the first time. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who takes pride in their craft, communicates well with the team, and values a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work on a variety of makes and models.
- Accurately document all work performed in repair orders per manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors and management regarding repair needs, time estimates, and recommendations.
- Conduct multi-point inspections and report findings to the advisor team.
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer training, bulletins, and repair procedures.
- Ensure repairs are completed on time and meet quality standards before vehicle delivery.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work area in clean and safe condition.
- Assist other technicians and team members as needed to promote teamwork and efficiency.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and dealership policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic required; dealership experience preferred.
- OEM certifications (Ford, Lincoln, Volvo, or Mitsubishi) or ASE certifications preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and repair tools effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Must provide personal tools appropriate for skill level.
