Located near Orlando, FL, this full-time, on-site contract opportunity runs through late May 2027 and is actively interviewing candidates. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Educator Certification
- National Certification in Visual Impairment or related field
- Experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or similar roles within school settings
- Prepared to complete a thorough district background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with adaptive technologies and Braille instruction methods
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional services to students with visual impairments across various school sites (exact caseload and age groups to be determined)
- Assess individual student abilities and develop customized educational plans
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams
- Adapt curriculum and classroom materials for accessibility
- Support student integration and independence within all learning environments
- Maintain thorough, timely records in compliance with district and federal requirements
