Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide specialized support services within two elementary school settings serving PreK through 5th-grade students. This contract position runs from mid-February through the end of May, with the potential to extend into the Extended School Year (ESY) program for an additional four weeks in July. The role involves providing on-site assistance at two schools, with a weekly schedule divided among them.Responsibilities include supporting speech-language services under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists, implementing individualized treatment plans, and assisting students in improving communication skills crucial for academic and social success. Maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive care will be essential components of this role.Key Qualifications:Active Maryland professional licensure as required for SLPAsExperience working with elementary-age children (PreK5th grade)Ability to work effectively in a school-based environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAvailability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) following a Monday through Friday scheduleThis position is based in the Baltimore area, specifically at two elementary schools located in Parkville and nearby communities.
