Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Kansas special education teaching license (must provide copy upon request)
- Previous experience in special education settings preferred
- Comfortable with diverse caseloads (8-18 students) and various support needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, aides, and school staff
- Strong commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
- Adapt general education lessons and curriculum for students with disabilities
- Participate in student evaluations and progress assessments
- Work closely with school teams to create strategies for learning and behavioral success
- Engage with families to keep them informed and involved in their child’s educational progress
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district and state compliance requirements
