You’ll be matched to roles either working one-on-one or within classrooms serving students with cognitive or emotional impairments, including resource and self-contained settings across all grade levels. Some paraprofessionals will assist in general education classrooms, ensuring all students receive the personalized support they need to thrive. Duties may also involve health aide-style responsibilities like diapering or toileting for students with significant needs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit, or
- An associate degree (or higher), or
- Passing ETS Parapro assessment score (at least 460), or
- Passing SAT scores (at least 480 in Evidence-Based Reading/Writing and 530 in Math)
- Copy of official university transcripts required before presentation
- Experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar support capacity is strongly valued
- Compassion, reliability, and adaptability are key
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized assistance and promote student independence
- Support classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral needs
- Assist with daily living tasks and integrate health aide support as needed
