A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school located in Framingham, MA. This full-time, contract role offers approximately 32.5 hours per week, with a scheduled workday from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year or spring 2026, concluding by June 30th.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of 14-15 inclusion students, supporting their academic and social development within the general education setting. Preference is given to candidates who are Spanish-speaking, though it is not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation and conduct regular communications with parents and school personnel
- Participate in meetings, including IEP reviews and team planning sessions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts teaching license and required certifications in special education
- Prior school-based experience working with special education students
- Ability to undergo CORI and fingerprinting requirements (letter of suitability from previous employer may be accepted)
- Spanish language skills preferred but not mandatory
