About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support student health and wellness in a school district in Gallup, NM. This full-time role involves providing direct healthcare services to students, supporting chronic condition management, and promoting a safe, healthy school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and emergency health care to students during the school day.
- Support students with chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and severe allergies.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements.
- Provide first aid and respond to health-related incidents on campus.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and school staff to promote student wellness and minimize health-related barriers to learning.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Experience in pediatric or school-based nursing is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
