Desired Qualifications:
- Active Georgia LPN license required
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric settings (essential)
- Familiarity with working alongside students requiring tracheostomy care, feeding tubes, and wheelchair assistance
- Bus riding with students as needed
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, as you may be stepping in for the first three weeks with the possibility of an extended assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily care and health monitoring for students, including those with medical complexities
- Perform trach care, feeding tube management, mobility support for wheelchair users, and riding the school bus with students as needed
- Document all care and communicate clearly with school staff and parents as required
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all school and state health protocols
- Support a positive, caring, and safe school environment alongside other healthcare and educational professionals
