Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Familiarity with Special Education (SPED) practices is highly advantageous
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, enhancing your ability to connect with students and families
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to PreK students, supporting their mobility, strength, balance, and participation in school routines
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to support student growth and learning
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to promote student independence
