School-Based Physical Therapist - Fresno, California

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an enriching contract opportunity working part-time with a focus on physical therapy for young learners, primarily in PreK. This position offers flexible scheduling—15 hours per week during the school year—and presents a promising possibility for ongoing contract renewal.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Familiarity with Special Education (SPED) practices is highly advantageous
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, enhancing your ability to connect with students and families
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to PreK students, supporting their mobility, strength, balance, and participation in school routines
• Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to support student growth and learning
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
• Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to promote student independence
• Advocate for student needs in school settings, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience
