We’re seeking a dedicated LPN or RN to provide 1:1 nursing support for an 18-year-old male student with complex medical needs. This long-term contract opportunity involves working closely with the student, both at his educational program and during transportation, ensuring his health and safety throughout the school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts nursing license (LPN or RN required)
- Previous experience working with students in a school setting or in pediatric care strongly preferred
- Comfort with 1:1 care for students diagnosed with periventricular leukomalacia, spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy, visual impairment, and associated medical complexities
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with educational and medical teams
- Outstanding reliability and professionalism, particularly when providing care during school transportation
Position Highlights:
- Consistent 40-hour workweek supporting a single student
- Responsibilities include assisting the student from home onto school transportation, providing full-day 1:1 nursing support, and accompanying the student back home
- Summer session runs July 6–August 7 (8:30am–2:00pm); regular school year follows standard school hours (estimated 8:00am–2:50pm, full day 7:30am–3:20pm)
- Opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with ongoing assignment anticipated through the 25/26 school year, and likely to continue into 26/27
