Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician, supporting middle school students in an educational environment. This role offers a full-time schedule, running from 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You'll play a vital part in providing whole-class behavioral support and assisting in reducing behaviors such as elopement, hallway wandering, and aggression—making a real difference in students’ lives.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience providing behavioral support, ideally in high school or middle school settings
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Preference for candidates with a completed National BCI for immediate consideration
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for supporting both students and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct behavioral interventions to promote positive student outcomes in a middle school context
- Work proactively to reduce challenging behaviors, including elopement and aggression, through evidence-based strategies
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, counselors, and other staff to support inclusive learning environments
- Collect, document, and analyze data on student behaviors and intervention outcomes
- Foster a supportive, safe, and structured classroom environment for all students
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines to maintain compliance and ensure student safety
