A contract Occupational Therapist opportunity is available to provide services on-site, with responsibilities spanning evaluation and direct therapy for students at an elementary school and Early Learning Center.
This role requires active engagement five days a week and enables the professional to address a variety of needs across a diverse student body. Initially, your time will be shared between the elementary campus and the Early Learning Center during a maternity leave; following that period, the focus transitions to a full-time presence at the Early Learning Center, allowing you to build strong, ongoing relationships with the youngest learners.
Ideal candidates enjoy working collaboratively with school staff, value a structured full-time weekday schedule, and bring experience in school-based practice or related pediatric environments.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience within school settings preferred
- Proficiency in conducting evaluations and providing direct OT services
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work with elementary-aged and early childhood populations
- COTA applications are not accepted for this position
- Must provide an up-to-date resume and verification of licensure
Role Responsibilities:
- Split schedule between elementary and early learning campuses initially; transition to Early Learning Center full-time
- Complete comprehensive OT evaluations and facilitate individualized therapy
- Collaborate with teaching teams to develop intervention strategies
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
- Participate in meetings and interdisciplinary planning as needed
