Overview
BMS in Los Alamos NM is currently hiring two Assistant Teachers for our Pre-K classroom and one Lead Teacher for our 1 year old classroom. We are looking for dedicated and compassionate educators to join our team.
Our White Rock location has been operating since 2015, this is our second campus.
We serve ages 6 weeks-7 years and are looking to hire multiple teachers for all ages.

The ideal candidate will assist in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children in a Montessori daycare setting. This role is essential in helping educators implement lesson plans and manage classroom behavior effectively. Starting pay begins at $19.00 per hour, with higher compensation available for candidates who possess relevant experience, education, Montessori training, or other qualifying credentials.
Duties
- Lead Teacher (One Year Old Class)- Lead and oversee daily classroom activities, routines, and supervision of children
- Lead Teacher (One Year Old Class)- Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori lesson plans and learning experiences that support each child's growth and development
- Lead Teacher (One Year Old Class)- Maintain child assessments, classroom documentation, and lesson planning in accordance with FOCUS
- Assistant Teacher (Pre K Class)- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- All Teachers- Provide care and supervision for toddlers and young children in a daycare or classroom setting.
- All Teachers- Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities.
- All Teachers- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- All Teachers- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress.
- All Teachers- Willing to complete college coursework and professional development requirements as required by FOCUS and state quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a daycare, private school, or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, parents, and co workers.
- A genuine passion for educating and nurturing young minds.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in handling various classroom situations.
- Must be very reliable and on time.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass a full background check
- High school diploma required
