What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Superintendent position at Bilbrey Construction Inc?
We are currently seeking a Construction Superintendent with a passion for commercial construction to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise new and existing commercial projects through a safe work environment, quality construction, scheduling, cost management, collaboration with project stakeholders, and superior customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a desire for growth, long term thinking, relationship building skills, team building, and ability to control manpower and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Able to read and fully understand drawings including architectural drawings and specifications.
- Possess knowledge and understanding of all construction methods in order to bring buildings out of the ground to completion.
- Possess knowledge and be able to use the ProCore system. Be able to process information and produce RFI / submittals. Complete daily logs and inspection reports.
- Understand and maintain As-Built drawings and process punch list and closeout documents.
- Be trained and proficient in all aspects of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Review and enforce company safety policies.
- Be able to manage manpower and work flow efficiently.
- Be able to control cost impacts to the job.
- Participate in and or conduct job meetings.
- Build and motivate a positive and productive work team.
- Be able to direct and manage multiple sub-contractors.
- Understand and manage job schedules and keep the job on time.
- Identify and resolve job issues before they effect the job cost and time line.
- Keep job site clean and organized.
- Ability to demonstrate/instruct job related tasks to help train carpenters and laborers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Min 5 years of construction supervision experience bringing buildings out of the ground.
- Experience in reading architectural drawings
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work non-traditional hours
- Use of Procore or BIM360 preferred
Abilities
- Possess all auditory, speaking, and communication capabilities
- Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 lbs., seeing and reading
