Production Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Production Lead to oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient, high-quality production processes. This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor and coordinate activities related to production and workers engaged in the production of the finished product in accordance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Duties

• Lead and motivate the production team to achieve daily operational goals while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Provide operational coverage for production team members during scheduled vacations, breaks, and other absences to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Ensure continuous production operations by relieving employees for breaks, lunch periods, and other scheduled time away from the production line.
• Partner with the Supervisor to ensure Manufacturing Control Sheet (MCS) documentation and pre-start checklists are completed accurately and consistently in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify that employees report to their assigned workstations on time and are properly equipped with required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the start of each shift and throughout shift transitions.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational standards.
• Maintain proficiency in the operation of all processing equipment to provide coverage as needed and support the training and development of team members.
• Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional departments to promote teamwork, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Support the Supervisor in monitoring employee performance and promoting compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, ensuring delegated tasks are completed accurately and within established timelines.
• Assist the Supervisor in preparing, documenting, and submitting maintenance work orders to support equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain efficient plant operations.
• Familiarity with plant management operations including mechanical knowledge related to assembly lines and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective cross-departmental collaboration.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.50 per hour
