Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a metro market sales plan to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
- Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities through cold outreach, on site business visits, networking, and referrals.
- Build relationships with construction companies, industrial businesses, equipment dealerships, rental fleets, and transportation companies.
- Represent BigIron at industry trade shows, contractor associations, dealership events, and local business networking functions.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of commercial prospects and manage accounts through the full sales cycle, from first contact to secured auction listings.
- Conduct on site visits to review equipment, gather asset details, and secure photos and documentation for auction listings.
- Track sales activity, pipeline updates, and customer interactions in the CRM.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and team initiatives to improve the customer experience.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support market growth and revenue goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Associate degree preferred or 3–5 years of outside B2B sales experience.
- Experience in construction, industrial equipment, heavy equipment dealerships, rental, fleet, or transportation industries preferred.
- Strong hunter mindset with a history of developing and growing commercial accounts.
- Comfortable selling to business owners, executives, fleet managers, and operations leaders.
- Strong relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills in a competitive metro market.
- Proven ability to prospect, cold call, and close high value deals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required.
- Willingness to travel 60–80% within the assigned metro territory, with occasional overnight travel.
- Self motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a remote, field based sales role.
