We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join BigIron and lead the design and enhancement of scalable web applications that power our online auction platform. This role focuses on building new features, optimizing existing functionality, and modernizing legacy systems using C#, Azure, ASP.NET MVC, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, agile environment and is passionate about delivering secure, high-performing solutions that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new application features using C#, ASP.NET MVC, jQuery and React
- Build and manage cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Maintain, refactor, and optimize legacy code to improve performance and scalability
- Design and optimize relational databases and write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and schemas
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members including developers, QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through testing, debugging, and performance tuning
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of professional experience in .NET development
- Strong proficiency in C# and ASP.NET MVC
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, etc.)
- Solid experience building front-end applications with React
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and database design principles
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teammates
- Experience with .NET Core and dotNet 4.7
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Exposure to modernizing legacy applications
