We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and other heavy equipment systems using schematics and electronic testing tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, alignment checks, and fluid top-offs to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency.
- Repair and overhaul diesel engines, including troubleshooting issues related to shocks & struts, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, welding repairs, soldering tasks, and fabrication projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools proficiently to disassemble, assemble, and repair machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; interpret schematics for precise troubleshooting.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment; perform welding and fabrication work as needed for custom repairs or modifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and ensuring timely completion of service orders.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics.
- 5 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic diagrams; ability to read technical manuals accurately.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; skilled in using power tools safely.
- Mechanical knowledge covering transmissions, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, shocks & struts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; strong attention to detail in vehicle maintenance and assembly tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to equipment repair and maintenance.
