Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards.
• Operate POS systems such as Shopify POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Handle retail sales transactions with precision, including cash handling, processing credit card payments, and giving correct change.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling beverages and preparing light snacks or food items as needed.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards.

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service.
• Strong cashiering skills with familiarity in retail math, cash handling, and processing transactions using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and create a positive guest experience.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and sales reconciliation.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures in a café or food industry setting.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
