About the Role:
As the Sales Manager, you'll lead a skilled inside and outside sales team, driving revenue growth across multiple industrial product lines. This role blends strategic planning, customer engagement, coaching, and deal-closing into one high-impact position. You'll be a builder, a motivator, and a champion for both your team and your customers.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across all company products.
- Work hand-in-hand with your team to improve market share and win new business opportunities.
- Lead weekly quote log and Hot List reviews with outside sales reps to maintain a high close rate.
- Conduct monthly performance meetings with each sales team member, helping them crush their goals.
- Assist with customer outreach and joint sales calls, including Lunch & Learn presentations to strengthen relationships and drive opportunities.
- Personally engage in outside sales efforts to build key relationships and demonstrate leadership by example.
- Collaborate with sales reps to negotiate pricing and discount strategies that support profitability goals.
- Coach, mentor, and perform regular performance reviews to ensure the team remains sharp and motivated.
- Host regular sales meetings focused on ongoing product training, sales techniques, and best practices.
Youll Also:
- Support the Branch Manager with vendor reporting and tracking sales opportunities.
- Act as the bridge between corporate leadership and the branch sales team, representing the branchs interests.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring new sales team members.
What Were Looking For:
- Proven success in industrial sales is required you should be comfortable discussing technical solutions with customers.
- Working knowledge of P&ID drawings is required youll need to understand technical layouts and flow diagrams.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred; or a minimum of five (5) years of industrial sales leadership experience.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills you know how to drive performance and build a winning culture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, customer service focus, and the ability to close deals.
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit and work at a desk for long periods.
- Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
