Position Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift: Day
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
SUMMARY:
Responsible for all Warehouse related activities including material handling, shipping, receiving, tearoom as applicable, and material handling equipment maintenance.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the supervision of all assigned shipping and receiving personnel.
- Responsible for the daily routing of all TL and LTL shipments and inbound and outbound transfers.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts, both finished goods and raw materials, and ensure all required reports are accurately completed and processed.
- Work with freight carriers to solve delivery problems, lost freight, etc.
- Work with Customer Service when required to trace shipments, and/or track and correct shipping errors.
- Provide guidance and assistance to all Warehouse personnel.
- Monitor and enforce R.C. Bigelow Safety and Health policies and procedures to include, as required, the inspection of forklifts and pallet jacks on a routine basis.
- Review and monitor adherence to RCB policies as they relate to inventory and shipment of product.
- Edits customer shipping activity, distribute reports and complete paperwork.
- Enters and edit raw material paperwork transactions. Print and distribute reports.
- Reviews detail production schedule and preliminary production schedule and assures materials are available for these schedules.

- Communicate daily with corporate Customer Service and transportation vendors.
- Provide the time for personnel to complete scheduled training and monitor the results.
- Member of Plant Management Team.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises one employee in the Warehouse Department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of vendors or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
