Job Overview
Big Willie’s Sports Bar & Grill is looking for a reliable, professional, and attentive Door person to join our team.
The Door person is responsible for welcoming guests, checking identification, maintaining a safe entrance, and ensuring all guests entering the establishment meet our age and identification requirements.
Responsibilities
- Check IDs for all guests as required by company policy and Utah liquor laws
- Accurately operate the ID scanning system
- Verify identification is valid, current, and belongs to the person presenting it
- Follow all applicable Utah liquor laws, regulations, and alcohol service requirements
- Refuse entry when identification does not meet legal or company requirements
- Maintain awareness of guests entering and exiting the establishment
- Monitor the entrance and help maintain a safe and orderly environment
- Communicate with bartenders, security, managers, and other staff regarding guest concerns
- Handle difficult or upset guests in a calm and professional manner
- Assist management with enforcing house rules and age restrictions
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude while enforcing policies consistently
- Keep the entrance area clean and organized
- Report suspicious IDs, incidents, or safety concerns to management
Requirements
- Must be 21
- Previous door, security, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Must be comfortable enforcing age restrictions and house policies
- Must be willing and able to strictly adhere to all applicable local and state liquor laws
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and busy event nights

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 38.0 per week
