What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Secretary II - Counseling Office (part-time) position at Big Walnut Local School District?
The Middle School Secretary II - Counseling is part-time, 5 hours/day, based on a 210-day contract.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma
2. Strong clerical/technical skills, ability to multi-task
3. Working knowledge of basic office procedures
4. Strong communication and organizational skills
Reports To: Building/Assistant Principal and Counselors
Job Goal: To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school counseling office, so that the office's maximum positive impact on students, parents, and community can be realized.
Job duties include, but not limited to, the following:
1. Promptly and courteously answer calls, greet and assist all visitors (parents, students, community members)
2. Maintain schedules and calendars for Counseling Department
3. Serve as a positive support and liaison to students, parents, community members, and visitors
4. Maintain cumulative files
5. Assist in coordination of testing and other events
6. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change, in a fast-paced working environment
7. Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
8. Attend in-services and meetings as required
9. Support other office staff and administration when requested
10. Perform other duties as assigned by building administrators
