What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant - Part-time position at Big Walnut Local School District?
Description: This is a part-time position beginning the 2026/2027 school year and is 190 days/year, 4 hours/day. This position may require some additional training.
Qualifications: Must have current BCI/FBI background checks, and obtain State of Ohio Educational Aide permit upon hire.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the building secretary and substitute if the secretary is absent
- Perform receptionist duties, including greeting and assisting all building visitors, parents, and students
- Assist parents and students with needs
- Maintain accurate attendance records via student information system
- First aid and medication distribution
- Office clerical duties - assist substitutes, copy/ distribute materials
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
- Attend meetings and in-services as needed
- Perform all duties as assigned
