Position Overview
The Concrete Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of concrete construction on-site, including layout, forming, placing, and finishing. The ideal candidate has extensive field experience, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of commercial and industrial concrete work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage concrete crews on-site to ensure efficient and safe operations
- Interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications
- Coordinate daily activities and communicate with project managers and superintendents
- Supervise all aspects of concrete placement, including forming, pouring, finishing, and curing
- Maintain quality control and ensure work is done to specification
- Manage equipment, materials, and labor needs on site
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies
- Track and report progress, timecards, and potential issues
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in concrete construction (commercial/industrial preferred)
- 2 years in a leadership or foreman role
- Deep understanding of concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
