Construction Project Coordinator / Operations Coordinator
Location: Ann Arbor, MI | Onsite
Compensation: $60,000–$75,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
About the Opportunity
Concrete Careers is partnering with an established specialty construction contractor in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to identify a highly organized, proactive Construction Project Coordinator / Operations Coordinator.
This is not your typical administrative position.
We're looking for someone who understands how projects come together, can connect the dots between different phases of a job, and takes ownership of responsibilities without needing constant direction.
The right person is sharp, resourceful, detail-oriented, and enjoys being the one who keeps everything moving behind the scenes.
You'll work closely with company leadership, supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout while gaining exposure to multiple areas of the construction business.
What You'll Do
- Support project setup, preconstruction activities, and documentation.
- Organize and manage construction drawings, specifications, and project files.
- Coordinate product submittals, safety documentation, personnel badging, and site access requirements.
- Track project deliverables, deadlines, and outstanding documentation.
- Assist with construction changes, updated drawings, and project coordination.
- Support project closeout, including warranties, as-built drawings, and final documentation.
- Work directly with leadership to identify needs, solve problems, and keep projects moving.
- Independently manage assigned responsibilities from start to finish.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in commercial construction, general contracting, or specialty contracting.
- Familiarity with construction project workflows, documentation, and coordination.
- Ability to read, navigate, and organize construction drawings and specifications.
- Exposure to submittals, project turnover, change documentation, or closeout processes.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar construction documentation software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a polished, professional presence.
- Ability to learn quickly, anticipate needs, and work independently.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
