Responsibilities
Picture yourself as a Safety and Security Officer at Big Sky Resort and having the opportunity to:
- Maintain a visible presence by patrolling interior and exterior resort-owned properties using company vehicles and equipment
- Provide security coverage during business and non-business hours, including overnight shifts
- Respond promptly to any security or emergency incidents, including coordination with local emergency services as needed
- Draft thorough incident and accident reports, and maintain accurate daily activity logs
- Monitor resort activity using CCTV systems and identify safety or security concerns in real time
- Assist with investigations, hazard identification, and other safety initiatives across departments
- Support the Security Manager with ongoing safety and emergency preparedness projects
- Uphold resort policies and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and employees
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted and climb multiple flights of stairs throughout the shift
- Must be able to stand and walk for 8 or more hours at a time
- Current CPR certification and Montana State Guard Card are preferred
- One year of experience in hospitality or a related field is strongly preferred
- Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and professionalism
- Must be comfortable working day, night, or overnight shifts as needed
