This role requires at least two years of hands-on experience in ski and snowboard repair, a passion for outdoor equipment, and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The supervisor leads the Rental Repair team while supporting overall rental operations and maintaining Big Sky’s high standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the repair team in tuning throughput, goal setting, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with rental managers to ensure fleet tuning standards are consistently met
- Manage tuning supplies and maintain a clean, organized repair workspace
- Apply resort-provided tools and training to enhance leadership and service delivery
- Maintain a positive, guest-focused attitude and assist as a rental technician when needed
- Minimum two years of ski and snowboard repair experience
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively
- Able to stand, walk, and carry equipment for extended periods
- Comfortable with overhead reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- Capable of scraping wax and P-Tex during extended tuning sessions
- Ability to safely lift boxes up to 55 lbs and perform regular shop maintenance tasks
