What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tree Seedling Lifter/Grader position at Big Sioux Nursery Inc?
Seasonal position beginning in April (weather-dependent start date) until January.
Involves various tasks, primarily getting the tree seedlings out of the field and graded for sales. This job involves bending, stooping, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds. Other tasks include mulching, removing mulch, weeding, and processing cuttings.
This position is mostly outside in the weather elements. This is a wholesale tree and shrub seedling nursery--we do not work with the general public.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Salary: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift (8am-4:30pm, 30 minute lunch)
- Monday to Friday
- Will work 8am-5:30 pm weekdays AND 8-4:30 Saturdays in spring and fall. Usually this lasts about 3 weeks each season, April/May and late October thru mid November. Then return to regular 40 hour week.
