Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tree Service Worker to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of tree maintenance and removal tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency on every job site. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating tools such as chainsaws, assisting with firewood preparation, and supporting mechanical tasks related to tree service operations. A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred to facilitate transportation of equipment and materials. Responsibilities
- Safely operate chainsaws and other tree trimming or removal equipment to perform pruning, cutting, and removal of trees and branches.
- Assist in firewood preparation, including cutting, splitting, and stacking wood for customer use or sale.
- Support mechanical tasks related to the maintenance and operation of tree service equipment, ensuring all tools are in proper working condition.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of equipment and materials as needed.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
Requirements
- Experience operating chainsaws or similar power tools used in tree care is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience supporting equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Valid CDL license is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain one is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and protocols.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Prior experience in tree service or related outdoor labor roles is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
